The Second Amendment was written in the 1700s for colonists to protect themselves against the British, Indians and to form a militia in case the British invaded their land or property.
This is what the NRA and gun owners use today as proof of their right to bear arms.
It is silly when you think about it.
The Second Amendment has nothing to do with today's America.
It is time to amend the Second Amendment.
It is also time to ban guns that are used to kill people.
Our right to be free from gun violence far outweighs any right to bear arms.
